How to Sign "Sick" in American Sign Language (ASL)

In ASL, "sick" is signed by extending your middle finger and placing it on your forehead, then moving it down to your stomach in a curved motion. The sign shows how being sick feels as it moves through your body. You can also make this sign just on your forehead for headaches or mental health issues, or only on your stomach when you have an upset stomach. A soft movement means you're a little sick, but a bigger movement shows you're very sick. People use this sign at hospitals, schools, and in daily life.
