Both thumb-down "10" hands held in neutral space, palms out, move alternately in circular motion. The sign comes from watching scientists work in labs, mixing things and doing experiments in their daily work. This simple hand movement shows up a lot in schools and classes about science, math, and other similar subjects, and you can add other signs to talk about different types of science. The circles you make with your hands show how science keeps moving forward and never stops.
