How to Sign "Loud" in American Sign Language (ASL)

Sign "loud" by pointing to (or touching) your ear and then shake your fists back and forth. To make it stronger, move your hand with more force and change your face to show how loud it is. The sign works for both real sounds and for describing people who stand out or things that grab attention. When talking about music or places, people who use ASL add facial expressions to show if the loudness is good or bad, matching what they're talking about.
