How to Sign "Scared" in American Sign Language (ASL)

In ASL, "scared" is signed by bringing both hands up to chest level with fingers spread apart, palms facing forward. Then you quickly shake your hands while lifting them a bit higher, just like when someone gets scared in real life. When people feel fear, they put their hands up to protect themselves and start shaking. Make sure to show fear on your face with big eyes and lifted eyebrows. The sign can be done faster and bigger to show more fear, or slower and smaller to show less fear.
