How to Sign "Gym" in American Sign Language (ASL)

In ASL, "gym" is signed by making both hands into fists and alternately moving them up and down in front of your chest, as if lifting weights. The sign shows working out. People use this sign everywhere when talking about places to exercise, PE classes, or workout rooms. You can add other signs to show what kind of gym you mean. Some people might add "school" or "fitness" before "gym" to be more clear about which type they're talking about.
